Hi, and welcome to Log My Walks, the website written by walkers for walkers! | Tweet |
| Log My Walks is entirely free to all users. The intention of the site is to allow anyone to record their own walking achievements, whilst at the same time being able to share this information with the wider walking community. As more members record their own walks, it is hoped that the site will eventually become a definitive reference guide for all walkers. Given time we are confident it will cover all the fells and mountains in the UK, providing multiple choices of route over each one, as well as highlighting nearby points of interest and giving all the latest information that walkers could find of use. Therefore, if you are a fell walker, a peak bagger, a member of a walking club or just someone who loves to adventure outdoors every now and then, please register with the site and start logging your walks. The more members that join and start posting material, the greater the benefit this site will be to us all. Hope you enjoy the site! All the best, and above all else ... have fun the fells The LogMyWalks Team | ||

| Recent additions: | 1. Ability to 'tag' any other site members on a walk they have participated in - this will add the walk stats and the number of fells to their own totals. 2. Ability to generate a profile graph of your walk from an uploaded GPX route 3. Any individual 'tagged' in a walk can add their own comments (appears directly under the author's comments) 4. Each photo uploaded can now be marked as Public (visible to everybody), 'Private' (only visible to the author), or 'Tagged' (visible only to the author and users tagged on the walk in question). 5. 'Fells' menu modified to include categories i.e. Wainwrights, Marylins - click on the category name to view just the fells in that category (and a small amount of info about it). 6. Photo Galleries - allows users to create their own Favourites Gallery or add to POI galleries 7. From the Walkers page, view detailed lists of all the hills a walker has climbed, by classification. 8. Modified to work properly with Firefox/Chrome/Safari browsers 9. Added Birkett Lake District hill classification 10. Added all the fells in England (see the link from the 'Fell Listing' page to view all fells). 11. View remaining fells for any 'peak-bagging' category you are interested in (complete categories only - currently Wainwrights & Yorkshire 2K's) |
